The Warner Velvet
Blues Band is a group of high
school and junior high students from
Warner Christian Academy in the Daytona
Beach area. Each spring, we travel to various
locations in the Southeast, utilizing both instrumental
and vocal music to minister to others. We compete
in several festivals (Marching, Jazz, and Concert) over
the years earning superior and excellent ratings. Along
with musical accomplishments, members of the band are
encouraged and assisted in growing both in maturity and
spirit. The atmosphere of the band is like that of a family,providing positive peer support for those who don't have a strong moral foundation anywhere else. Although striving for musical excellence is quite heavily stressed, it will never be elevated to the exclusion of building character, confidence, and camaraderie. Above
all, the Warner Velvet Blues use their talents
to glorify God, to build up His kingdom,
and to fulfill His will in the world
around them.
